Nebraska Underground is a listings site for shows, artists and venues in Nebraska. It has no accounts, no ads and no analytics or tracking.

What gets collected

Forms. If you use Submit a Show or Suggest a Fix, the site stores what you type (artist, venue, date, links, details) so it can be reviewed. Your IP address is not stored with it. Reviewed entries are deleted after 90 days, and everything is deleted after 180 days. To slow down spam, a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP is kept in temporary memory for up to an hour, then it expires.

Saves and search. Saved shows and the search index are kept in your own browser (local storage). They never leave your device and you can clear them any time by clearing site data.

Server logs. The host, DreamHost, keeps standard web server logs (IP address, page requested, browser, time) for security and troubleshooting. These are not used for tracking or shared with anyone else.

Third parties

Fonts and images are served from this site. Google Maps and Instagram posts only load if you click to show them; until then nothing is sent to Google or Meta. Links to Instagram, Spotify, ticket sellers and band pages take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

When a page is published, its address is sent to IndexNow (Bing) so search engines can find it. No visitor data is included.

Cookies

Visitors get no cookies. See the Cookie Policy.
